REGULARLY IN STOCK

SURI SILK LACE

So soft and squishy! It is incredibly versatile and can be worked with a variety of needle or hook sizes. Knit it alone, double stranded or held together with another yarn/s.
Suri silk lace has a bit less yardage than the mohair but it, like the mohair silk lace, adds a gorgeous halo to any project for that extra bit of pretty and warmth and it is a different halo than the mohair silk as the strands are longer and fill in the spaces between the stitches even more, thus….warmer too!

Check out my Suri Silk/Mohair Silk Lace comparison experiment HERE where I compare them side by side.

  • 74% suri alpaca 24% silk
  • 50g/378 yards per skein
  • Knitting Needle Size: Size US 1 – 3 / 2.25 – 3.25 mm
  • Knitting Gauge: 27 – 32 sts = 4″ (10 cm)

  • Crochet Gauge: 21 – 32 sts = 4″ (10 cm)(size needles)

KIDSILK LACE

So soft and fuzzy! Mohair silk lace adds a gorgeous halo to any project for that extra bit of pretty and warmth! Not only that but it is incredibly versatile and can be worked with a variety of needle or hook sizes. Knit it alone, double stranded or held together with another yarn/s.
It is different than the suri silk lace in that it offers a bit more stitch definition.  The halo is not as prominent and dyed colours tend to be a bit brighter.
Check out the two compared side by side.

SPECIALTY STOCK

These bases are often in stock, but in smaller numbers. Custom orders can include requests for any of these bases in addition to the ones above, but yarns may need to be ordered. This may add some extra overall time to the creation process for a custom order.

SLUB YARN (FINGERING WEIGHT)

This slub yarn has the most amazing texture!
A fingering weight wrapped around a super thin nylon core with tiny slubs that just give it a little extra oomph.
There are some lovely patterns out there that use this type of yarn and one of my favorites is a short sleeved pull over that uses less than two skeins called the Peepshow Pullover.  If you do some searching you will also find all sorts of interesting patterns that play with the texture between slub and stockinette stitches or that pair it with other yarns to create really cool effects!

  • 90% Superwash Merino 10% nylon
  • 100g/438 yards per skein
  • # wpi
  • Knitting Needle Size: Size US 1 – 3 / 2.25 – 3.25 mm

BLACK NEP MERINO SOCK WEIGHT YARN

A lovely and multi-purpose 3-ply sock weight yarn (almost identical to my Basic Sock) with soft barely-there black neps for added visual interest.
