Hey Assigned Pooling Lovers!! I did a thing!!

I have been making assigned pooling yarns for a couple of years and the popularity has seemed to increase over the past little while. As folks get more interested, we see more of that type of yarn out and about. So, I had to try and twist it a bit to make it my own (Who’s surprised? 🙋🏻‍♀️🤣).

The result? Assigned Pooling gradient sets!

Assigned Pooling Gradient Sets:
8x30g sock yarn | 850 yds

If you aren’t familiar with assigned pooling, it is a technique that typically uses a yarn dyed with a burst of colour (often 1/4 or so of the skein). A special stitch, such as a bobble for example, is done every time you come across that colour while knitting/crocheting. Note, any yarn with a repeating pop of colour could be used!

Description

This gradient set contains squishy mini skeins handdyed  by me in my lab in Ottawa, Ontario.

All gradient sets are one of a kind. Even when I remake a set, each one is slightly different due to the technique.

This set of mini skeins comes in 30g  sock yarn minis:

Basic Sock 8x30g
80% superwash merino 20% nylon
240g, 850 yds approx (each mini skein is 30g/108 yds each)

NOTES RE HAND-DYED YARNS:
Be aware that colors may appear differently on different computer monitors, but every effort has been made to portray them as accurately as possible.
All of my yarns are hand dyed and, as much as I attempt to match, every batch is one-of-a-kind. Be sure to order what you need as matching future batches are not guaranteed.
When using hand-dyed yarns in a project that requires more than one skein, it is strongly recommended to alternate skeins every other row of knitting to even out any differences.
Lastly, as with any hand dyed yarn, please expect minor imperfections and some variation from skein to skein (even within the same batch), as each skein is individually hand painted.
